How to Care for Your Orchard After Harvest
Growers of the older generation rarely paid much attention to post-harvest management, but on any orchard where the owner is diligent enough to take care of the trees after harvest, the following season's yield tends to turn out well. Why is that? Most fruit trees rest after fruiting, which is why there's a saying that fruit trees naturally bear heavily one year and lightly the next — but that isn't always true.
Here is the experience of Mister Cowboy Horse:
Restore, improve, and nourish the soil to stimulate new root growth. Till the soil and apply amino humic acid + Speed Root + nutrients.
Prune the branches to open up the canopy, increasing light exposure and reducing the buildup of pests and diseases. Once the fruit tree has been pruned, the tree's internal mechanisms will speed up the signal to accelerate the flushing of new leaves. (If you want to see proof, try leaving a few trees unpruned and compare.)
Once new leaves have flushed, prepare a liquid fertilizer + chlorophyll-boosting agent + CaB.
